THANK YOU IS NOT ENOUGH!!!   Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to be a nurse so I could help people.  As I grew a little older, I became increasingly aware of what a great hospital Cleveland Clinic was with its distinguished reputation locally, nationally and internationally.  I had hoped one day to know what an honor it would be to be a part of this prestigious hospital.  You cannot imagine how elated I was when I was hired as a new graduate nurse in March of 1986.  And now twenty-one years later, I still feel the same way. It is such an honor to work with the most exceptional staff in the world, which is the best of the best.  Their dedication, loyalty, commitment, compassion, and knowledge are stupendous.   There are numerous people that I am grateful to for giving the strength, courage, support, knowledge, and inspiration to be the best nurse I can be.

I want to thank God, for without Him, I would be nothing.  I want to thank all of my patients who have inspired me to meet the challenges of life.  I want to thank all the staff that I have had the privilege of working with, especially in the Operating Room where I currently work for the past thirteen years and on G81 where I worked for eight years.  I want to thank my friends and my family for their constant support.  Thank you is not enough!  Gloria Raffa RN, BSN, CNOR
