A little thing like brain surgery wasn't going to stop my amazing son from being there at the start of his soccer season, and he told his doctors as much. And, come that blessed September, there he was, with his scar over his right ear as a testament to his strength and perseverance, playing like every other kid on that field———to WIN. From where I sit, he was the biggest winner out there!
