When I broke my arm in two places in Jamaica, W.I., my first wish was to get home to Cleveland Clinic fast! Thanks to my husband and his cell phone, he reached our doctor Richard S. Lang M.D. M.P.H. one hour after I fell.

Someday, for a challenge, in a third world country on a Saturday night, try getting to a local hospital for x-rays, a pain shot and stops at three pharmacies (all closed) for pain pills!

Getting a non-stop flight, the following day, from Montego Bay to Cleveland is another challenge to find out if you can still maintain a sense of humor.

My husband, with the help of a friend, Karen and Dr. Lang arranged for everything and 24 hourse later I was at the Cleveland Clinic and in surgery with Dr. Peter J. Evans, M.D. PhD the following day. These two doctors are "unreal" they are so good.

After 2 plates and 17 screws, ten days later my cast was off and I was in the hands of those great ladies at Desk A-42 - the nicest and best therapists in the world!

I am told I am way ahead of schedule in recovery!

No words can adequately convey my unending appreciation for what my doctors and others at Cleveland Clinic have done for me.
