There were days I cried in pain and rage
Not ready for an early grave
I was quite certain I would not survive
My doctors had faith I would thrive

I never thought I would see my children grown
My, how time has swiftly flown
Two decades have come and gone
Celebration starts with each new dawn

Cleveland Clinic treated my cancer
To you I say faith is the answer
To be a blessed person led
To heaven's gates and not be dead!

How grateful I am for each of you
For each doctor and nurse that saw me through
Cleveland Clinic took such great care
That cancer did not stand a prayer

I am a Grandmother today
I love each grey hair along the way
I will be here until my work is done
And gladly go with the setting sun

May you find a little hope and peace be in your heart
I pray for a cure for cancer giving you a new start
Until that day we all must go may love be in your way
And many blessings come to you each and every day

My deepest gratitude to the Cleveland Clinic Staff and Nurses
