I was born in 1970 with transposition of the great vessels and pulmonar stenosis. My life has been pretty normal, except for medical visits, studies, and medicines. Some physical limitations were always present. At 28 years old everything changed, and even standing up was a great effort. Being married for 1 year it was hard to accept maybe my life was over. Thanks to Dr. Roger Mee who performed a Senning procedure on Feb 1999 at Cleveland Clinic, I was given a second chance. Next week we will celebrate our 11th anniversary and have 2 beautiful adopted children. Now I can keep up with them, play with them, and share my life with my husband. A gift of live which every day is remembered by all my family. Thanks Cleveland Clinic M40 and M41 staff.
