Alayne Bowditch 's Letter

To my daughter Giselle,

Darling,I have,at 80 years of age been fortunate to have lived through “the best of times”
During my childhood I ran free in a pristine countryside, relatively free from aggressive agrochemical farming practices,no overfishing, comparatively un polluted streams and rivers, abundant fauna and flora,I could elaborate further but am overwhelmed in this instant by environmental and ecological grief.
I and others who have enjoyed that period in history are guilty of failing to rein in corporate greed and massive global corruption on a scale never before seen.
I endow you and your two boys with a view into an abyss.
Live in hope Giselle that a miracle will help our wonderful world recover.
Much love,Mummy.
