Barbara's Letter

To my Grandson Oli,

The world we live in now is very different to the one I grew up in especially the one concerning nature. As mankind has evolved we have been selfish and irresponsible in relation to other wildlife and our natural environment. This has resulted in loss of animal and plant species some of which are lost to us forever. Despite warnings to Governments around the world from wildlife and climate experts, they haven't listened or taken heed.
In the last few years We have seen the results of this innaction resulting in extreme weather conditions, loss of habitat for wildlife and threats to surviving species by melting of the polar icecaps.
If major changes aren't put in place soon, it may be too late to stop this destructive cycle and things will only get worse. My hope is that future generations can enjoy the amazing beauty of our precious earth but that will only be possible if we all act NOW!
