Barbara's Letter

Grandchildren,

Hope that you live in a world where you feel safe and happy.
Sorry for the mess that we have left for you.
Unfortunately when plastic was invented we didn't think of what we would 'invent' to dispose of it.
Plastic pollution is out of control. Unmanaged waste impacts people's health, exacerbates flooding and threatens power supplies by blocking dams.
Plastic has now been found in our human bodies.
We are sorry that we have passed all the problems onto people who have done little wrong and they are now suffering the affects of climate change.
Hopefully after we have realised that this situation cannot continue, the production of plastic and single use items has all stopped, and people have thought wisely before they enter the mass produced market where we must have all we see and do not share our resources with our neighbours.
