Caroline's Letter

My daughters Lizzie and Susan ,

To my dearest girls
I’m feeling fairly hopeless at the moment. Our current Government seems to be well and truly in the pocket of the oil industry and not taking the radical action that is required to make a serious impact on Global Warming.
I know there are steps that could be taken today that would really help to make a difference. There are technologies available that would create employment, help the economy and the planet but the policies to make this happen are just not being developed substantially enough.
I sincerely hope we can elect politicians in the future who treat Climate Change with the seriousness it requires and quickly. I hope your future has not been sacrificed by shortsightedness and greed. I hope sense has prevailed.
