My grandchildren ,
There are so many signs indicating that the people of my and previous generations have ravaged our planet, and still are doing so, with little thought of restoration and regeneration for our descendants. This fills me with despair; but what gives me hope is the knowledge that so many organisations are working hard to actively promote the protection of wildlife and the environment and to encourage the participation of all, to preserve and improve what we have for future generations.
Whenever I look at my grandchildren I am reminded of the efforts required by myself and all those I have influence over, to do our utmost to leave the world, not only as we found it but an even better place!
