Gillian Mctavish's Letter

To my granddaughter Imani ,

Some of us are trying really hard to reduce our carbon footprint but unfortunately not all of us are. At the moment I am finding it really difficult to understand why it is so much cheaper to fly to Paris to visit you than to take the train. Especially when we all know how damaging flying is to the environment. I'm sure there would be so many of us keen to use the train if it was not so expensive. I hope that in the future this will be rectified and we can visit you without feeling guilty about our carbon footprint.
