Gillian Moore's Letter

To those born in this century,

I hope the world has acted on climate change. If not the mighty polar bear will be extinct. This is the first animal I remember seeing in captivity. Even as a young child I was horrified to see them pacing about in a small concrete enclosure. It was so obviously cruel. The argument, I was told, was that it would make people care about animals in the wild ! That really worked. Crops will fail, lands will flood , fires will burn, but the real damage will be extinctions. I hope things improve soon. Really soon.
