Jack's Letter

Dear my future self,

In 2023 the world looks ok, it's not the best and we could do better. The beaches are untidy, rubbish is everywhere and we use too much electricity. In the world at the moment, most families have two cars.
I have some wishes for the future. I would like for no rubbish to be left on the beaches so that it does not pollute the oceans. We need to recycle more - like things we don't need or use. We could give clothes to charity and plastic toys to other children to use again and again. We need to use less electricity by turning off lights, using the sunshine more and having electric cars. We could also pollute the air less by walking more when we can and using buses or trains.
I'm looking forward to seeing what 2023 looks like.
