Jade's Letter

To my future self ,

I hope my efforts weren’t in vain.
I hope the government saw that money won’t matter if we lose everything else.
I hope it all worked and that we did enough.
I hope that we were able to make the connection between ourselves and the earth, and to see that we’re all one and the same. To reconnect with nature and see our part in it.
I hope that we learnt to slow down, to stop over-consuming, to look around us and take note of what we have, what we’ve lost already, and what needs to be done. Nature isn’t infinite and I’m scared to know that we’re treating it this way.

I hope it wasn’t too late. But just know that I’ll keep doing my part.
