Jean Campbell-Leith's Letter
To my god-daughter's niece,
I'm hoping so much that you'll have clean green public and, where necessary, individual transport so that you can breathe clean air and not contribute to global warming, and hope that all homes will have subsidised solar panels and storage batteries, excellent insulation and perhaps cost-effective heat pumps to keep the cost of energy down and also harm to the climate. Hoping too that people will all have the chance to grow a few of of their own salads and veg to keep food miles and chemical additives down, so benefiting insects and birds, which are currently in serious decline, as is the climate
The Great Big Green Week is the UK’s biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change. Find out how you can get involved.
