Judith 's Letter

To my grandchildren,

When I was growing up nature was a very important part of my life. My reading contributed to this, and school which taught nature study and always had a nature table.
My mother set up a bird feeding station and we had a large number of species visiting including bullfinches.
Now I am retired I have moved to the countryside so that I can regularly see hares and other wildlife but I am increasingly aware of the dramatic fall in biodiversity.
Recently on holiday the cliffs which used to be full of fulmars and kittiwakes have only one remaining pair of fulmars.
Nature has made me happy and become such an important part of my life that it makes me very sad to think that you will not be able to enjoy it in the same way that I did.
I promise that I will do everything I can to help wildlife...I just hope that we get a government who are passionate about saving nature and our world.
