Kate Tansley's Letter

To my daughters,

I’m hoping you feel safe to have your own children because leaders took the right action at COP 27.

If this is so, you live in a world with more stable weather, clean air and water and clean, renewable, home grown energy. I hope we ensured that poor countries were well financed to cope with initial climate change problems. They deserved our help, after all, we created the problem. We didn’t want people to lose their lives and their homes because of our mistakes.

I hope you have heat pumps in your home and that it is well insulated.

I hope you can cycle and get the train to work. I hope there are safe cycle lanes everywhere and that you can cycle to a train and easily get your bike on the train. I hope nature is protected and you get to enjoy nature a lot.

Love you lots.

In hope and blessing,

Mum
