Kay's Letter

To my nine lovely grandchildren,

I'd like to think that you will all be well and living fairly simply, just as my parents did in the early 20th century - recycling, mending, cooking healthy meals and growing food and flowers. If you are, then this will have helped curb food, clothing and plastic waste and revitalised our beautiful wildlife. A more simple way of life will help people to share and swap any surplus, encourage kindness and less greed. This will hopefully go a long way to a more relaxed life, helping with mental health, crime and racism.

If we, in 2022 make a start on this philosophy, by the time you read this there may be a chance that the world will be living in peace, with each other and nature. And all the roads will be free from pot holes.
