Lindsay Haveland's Letter

To my grandchildren,

I just wanted to say how sorry I am that our generation has left you such a dreadful legacy. Whilst we, personally, have tried our best to respect the planet, both the people on it, and the flora and fauna, we have not managed to stop hatred between different cultures and religions, and we have not stopped the destruction of species and habitat, in the rush to have a more luxurious way of life.

My advice to you is to listen to your hearts, rather than advertisers or cults. Look long and hard at the world around you, and work out what contribution you can make, to leave it a better place for your grandchildren. Your Taid and I will keep doing as much as we can to make sure you have a beautiful world to live in. I'm afraid the rest is up to you.
