Lindsey's Letter

Lizzie, daughter ,

Dear Lizzie, I don’t know what life is like for you now with all that is going on with the climate. I hope you are part of the change for good as I have tried to be.
Climate change has affected many people and ecosystems on the planet. I have tried to act responsibly, I have not flown for over 20 years and you never did as a child. We have shopped for food in season and with low air miles.
The climate debate raged during my life time with many untruths being told. Unfortunately this has meant that the human race has buried its head in the sand instead of finding solutions. Something that dismays me more than I can say.
World wide we are powerless to influence what is going on but I want you to know that I have done everything I can from speaking out to boycotting Brazilian beef. I plan to plant trees on the farm and farm sustainably - change what I can.
I hope the world that you inherit is beautiful and stable and I want you to know it is not for the lack of trying on my part. I wasn’t complacent.
