Louie lane 7r's Letter

Future self,

I am writing to you to explain what the world is now and how we can improve it.
In addition to this we need to stop climate change by recycling plastic and stop driving everywhere and we need to start walking and cycling to places like work and school. I cannot believe that you’re losing 1.2 trillion tons of ice per year since the 1990s before 28 trillion tons of ice. To help you put that into perspective, the combined weight of all human-made things is 1.1 trillion tons.
I can only hope that we will not be suffering when it is 2050 but the Ocean Absorbs most of the heat we produce.
A 2019 study found that oceans had sucked up 90% of the heat gained by the planet between 1971 and 2010. Another found that it absorbed 20 septillion joules of heat in 2020 – equivalent to two and a half Hiroshima bombs per second. Which is very good but still if we keep on going there will be no sea to suck up.
