Luisa Lucantoni's Letter

To my son, Alexander ,

I would like your future to embody a world where the frenetic pace of change has slowed. Where there can be a more measured, reflective approach in policy making, not solely based on reactive, materialistic responses.

Where there is a greater understanding and emphasis on long term decision making, taking into account a global view of climate needs and the poorer communities of the world. And where a greater show of courage, and the upholding of humanity, is more evident in the decisions undertaken by governments than is apparent now.

Greater solidarity, greater courage, greater belief and love for the world and its peoples. That’s what I would like your future to look like. And for you to appreciate and trust in the part you play as a global citizen in its undertaking.
