Margery Toller's Letter

To my grandchildren: Alma, Archie, Emily Monty, Matilda and Annie,

Dear Alma, Archie, Emily, Monty, Matilda and Annie,

I am writing this letter to the politicians who make the decisions that affect what sort of world we live in. Of course they're not the only people who can do things to change things for the better, you can too, but they do have the power to make changes that can have quite an effect for better - or worse. My hope is that before every decision they make, they will ask themselves: "Be honest, what long term effect will this have on the world and all the people who will be living in it 50 years from now, 100 years from now and 250 years from now?" If they are people with any honesty and integrity, who really care about what happens to other people, they will then make wise decisions which will make the world a better place for all of us, and for the people who will be born and live after us.

Much love

Granny
