Mayuki's Letter

To the future generations,

Are flowers still blooming in Antartica? Are wildfires still killing millions and billions of wildlife? Does summer still make you feel like you’re melting and that you’re burning alive? Or, are we even alive? Because of us, the earth had been destroyed and everyone’s future is stolen. Our greed had taken over us and we have done nothing but be selfish and we are starting to come to the end of the world. Thousands of forests are being deforested, greenhouse gases are still being produced, killing every one of us, day by day. In all honesty, I don’t think that we are going survive this catastrophe. When our children asks what polar bears are because they are extinct, i hope that we will feel nothing but shame for what we caused. But… there is still hope, and for the future generations who saved this single gleam of hope, i thank you for saving us.
