To my grandsons, Finley, Broccan and Osian,
Soon you will be grown men, I hope you can look forward to living in a world of peace and prosperity for ALL - the injustice and inequality of my time having been broken down by the need for change to protect our planet.
I also sincerely hope that we will have curbed our over-consumption and seriously reduced our wasteful ways. That there will be enforceable laws to protect our rivers and oceans - and we will have stopped filling them with all our unnecessary single-use plastic packaging. I hope that your future is bright, and promise, in the time I have left, to do what I can to make it so.
