To my husband's grandchildren, Arlo, Susanna, Seth, Morus and Samuel and to my first cousin once removed, Cadi,
Dear children,
We think you are great, and we love you very much.
We hope and pray that all the grown ups will do the right thing and leave you a world which you can enjoy and where there is enough food and water for everyone. We hope that you will be able to enjoy all the animals we have been able to enjoy. We hope that you won't have to watch the news and feel sad for other people who live in places where climate change has made things very hard for them. We hope that, one day, you will say thank you to the grown ups for passing on a healthy world to you and your friends.
