Paul Moir's Letter

To my sons Leon and Noah,

You have been let down by past generations including my own. We have indiscriminately plundered the earth without consideration and moderation and that is unforgivable. You are having to live with the consequences of that and you should feel let down because you have been. I hope you have the courage and conviction to do the right thing and respect your environment and planet and treat it with the care and compassion that it needs to be able to serve you in the way that it has serves us before you.

I hope that the damage caused is not too great and that the environment you live in is as beautiful as the world we enjoyed. We are aware of the worrying course we are on but taking meaningful action is stubbornly slow and I dread is insufficient to prevent irreversible damage.

We are trying to make a difference I just hope it's enough.

Love

dad
