Sandra Grigg's Letter

To my future self,

I hope that by the time you read this letter, the world will be at peace and globally working together to enable humans and wildlife to share this planet selflessly. I hope that we as a species have been able to stop empty political rhetoric and actually persuade our world leaders that action is needed now, not next year, not 5 years, but now.
If we cannot galvanize the leaders into action now (and it is almost too late) I fear that in only 8 years from now the climate will be very volatile. There will be catastrophic weather events, islands disappearing because of rising sea levels, wildlife and pollinator extinctions which will have adverse effects on providing enough food and clean water, and mass migrations of peoples facing certain death.
I hope at the age of 78 years old you are living in my hopeful vision.
