Shanon Shah's Letter

Dear Nadia,

As my only niece, you’ve always been special to me. Through the wonders of technology, we’re so lucky to be able to stay connected with you in Malaysia and me in London.

You do not cease to amaze me - now you’re studying to become a doctor!

But I worry about your future. Like when we saw the terrifying flooding in Malaysia earlier this year. You do not deserve to inherit a damaged and deadly planet.

The message of my #LettersToTomorrow: To people in power, act now. Climate breakdown is here, and it’s hitting the generation who’ve done the least to cause it the hardest. No more profiting from a burning planet. No more fossil fuels. #PayUp4LossAndDamage.
